Death comes to every life, sometimes suddenly, sometimes slowly. A coffin cannot remove that fragility, but it can help us meet it with greater presence and intent. Ro was created for Anker Bak’s grandparents as a last piece of furniture, made to accompany a final part of life with care.

Its curved form draws on the arches and soft light of church architecture, while moulded plywood reduces material use. More than an object, Ro creates space for grief, love, farewell and the rituals through which we face death together.
