At Mølholm, empathy is built into the architecture and spaces. This exhibition placed Anker Bak and Dignity Design inside a hospital environment, showing how design, art and space can support the whole person when life becomes vulnerable.

Mølholmでは、共感の姿勢が建築や空間そのものに組み込まれています。この展覧会では、Anker BakとDignity Designの作品や理念を病院という環境の中に位置づけ、人生の中で脆さに直面するときに、デザインやアート、空間が、その人全体をどのように支えられるかを示しました。

Some parts of life remain outside the design conversation. The exhibition The Design We Hide Away brought design and personal stories together, opening the questions behind Dignity Design to a wider public.

Some of the furniture we need has never been designed. The Furniture We Need explored the space between furniture and assistive objects, where function, identity and everyday life begin to overlap.

A design practice can begin with a change in responsibility. Renewed Dignity turned Anker Bak’s personal design philosophy into an exhibition, bringing ageing, illness and death into the language of furniture and the home.

The Ro coffin catalogue expanded the story of the coffin through film, photography and editorial design. Together, the different formats created a fuller context for death, farewell and the rituals surrounding them.

Roのカタログは、映像や写真、エディトリアルデザインを通じて、棺をめぐるストーリーを広げました。異なる表現形式を組み合わせることで、死や別れ、そしてそれらを取り巻く儀式について、より豊かな文脈を生み出しました。

Gaze Asahikawa presented the full furniture collection in a spatial setting designed by Anker Bak Studio. The exhibition brought Nordic and Japanese craftsmanship into the same room, giving the furniture a shared architectural and cultural context.
