Designed for modern living, the Rocking Nest Chair offers a private space for relaxation in a compact and elegant form.
Originally created for Anker Bak’s sister to provide a comfortable place for nursing, the chair embodies both care and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the need for comfort in small spaces, Bak designed a chair that combines movement, relaxation, and thoughtful design.
The collapsible frame makes it easy to store when not in use - perfect for contemporary homes where space is valuable.
Design
The chair’s frame is crafted from solid oak or walnut, shaped with precision to balance lightness and durability.
The seat is upholstered with canvas for strength in the self-supporting structure, with the option of adding extra padding and leather on top.
The metal parts in the chair allow it to fold while creating a floating design between the grounded base and the seat. A balance of lightness between the supporting and the supported.
With its timeless materials and thoughtful construction, the Rocking Nest Chair embodies simplicity, function, and beauty in equal measure.

もともとは、アンカー・バックの姉の快適な育児の場を提供するために作られたこのチェアは、ケアとクラフトマンシップの両方を体現しています。
狭い空間での快適さを必要とすることからインスピレーションを受けたアンカーは、動きとリラクゼーション、そして思いやりを兼ね備えたチェアをデザインしました。
フレームは折りたたみ式で、使わないときは簡単に収納できるため、スペースが重視される現代の住宅には最適です。
チェアのフレームは無垢のオーク材またはウォールナット材から作られ、軽さと耐久性のバランスを考慮して精密に成形されています。
シートはキャンバスの張り地で、自立構造の強度を高めています。オプションで、パッドとレザーを追加することができます。
チェアの金属パーツは、支える側と支えられる側の軽さのバランスを考慮し、接地するベースとシートの間に浮遊するデザインを生み出しながら、折りたたみを可能にしました。
