In a small home, making room to work can mean giving permanent space to something used for only part of the day. Anker Bak’s own experience of compact living, including time in Japan, made the space around a desk part of the design problem.

Wall Disk reduces that problem to a slim surface fixed directly to the wall. Developed with Carl Hansen & Søn, it pairs oak or laminate with stainless-steel brackets and a softly rounded front edge. An optional oak drawer can sit below or on top, leaving the floor open around the desk.
